„But because of his previous life, he was used to a good lifestyle let’s say. We had many discussions before, we said we want something very simple, but nice and to share the job, the hours, the days, the money, everything. So, he wanted to make a shop in Plaka, but there it’s not easy to find a license. If you find a building, the previous use has to be the same use for the next shop. If you want to make a restaurant, it had to be a restaurant before. So we checked about 30 shops but we couldn't find a license. So as you can understand, I felt very tired from this situation. I said to my friend „We have to make at least something.“ So the real estate manager proposed us this business, this shop, because the previous owner of the shop , he wanted to sell the business ready with a license. My brother, he wanted to have a building with a personality. Like this one, lets say, a neoclassical house with a yard, or on the square or on a pedestrian street, so it was very difficult to find a shop like this. And of course, if you find a shop like this, you have to pay a lot of money for the rent. Up to 5000 euros per month and more. the guy from the real estate proposed us this one. My brother liked the building, but he didn't like the area.“
"΄Ηταν συνηθισμένος σε μια πολυτελή ζωή, πρίν έρθει Αθήνα. Είχαμε κάνει πολλές συζητήσεις στο παρελθόν, λέγαμε ότι θέλαμε να κάνουμε κάτι απλό, αλλά και ωραίο να μοιραστούμε τη δουλειά, τις ώρες , τα λεφτά, όλα. Έτσι ήθελε να κάνει ενα μαγαζί στην Πλάκα, αλλά δεν είναι εύκολο να βρεις άδεια. Εάν βρεις ενα κτίριο πρέπει να χρησιμοποιηθεί με τον τρόπο που το λειτουργούσε ο προηγούμενος ιδιοκτήτης. Εάν θες να κάνεις εστιατόριο πρέπει το κτίριο που θα βρεις να λειτουργούσε σαν εστιατόριο. Οπότε τσεκάραμε γύρω στα 30 μαγαζιά αλλά χωρίς άδεια. Oπότε όπως καταλαβαίνετε κουράστηκα από την κατάσταση. Είπα στον φίλο μου ‘’ Πρέπει να κάνουμε κάτι‘’. Οπότε ο μεσίτης μας πρότεινε αυτην την επιχείρηση, αυτό το μαγαζί, επειδή ο προηγούμενος ιδιοκτήτης του μαγζιού ήθελε να το πουλήσει,( έτοιμο με άδεια). Έτσι τον προσεγγίσαμε , επειδή ο αδερφός μου, ήθελε ένα κτίριο με προσωπικότητα, Σαν αυτό, ας πούμε, ένα νεοκλασσικό σπίτι με αυλή, ή σε ένα τετράγωνο, ή σε ένα πεζόδρομο, οπότε ήταν δύσκολο να το βρεις. Και φυσικά και να το βρεις θα πρέπει να δίνεις πολλά λεφτά για το νοίκι 5000 το μήνα και παραπάνω. Στον αδερφό μου άρεσε το κτίριο αλλά όχι η περιοχή."
